Nihongo o hanaseru by Purrbaby101 Nihongo o hanaseru by Purrbaby101
Put this in your profile only if you can read it... lol. It says "I can speak Japanese" in Japanese. Yeah... I thought about putting "yomaseru" instead of "hanaseru" ("read" instead of "speak"), but I liked this one more. ^^

I can't type Japanese real well on this computer but I can read it and I noticed a small error:
The "wo" in the sentence should be changed to "ga" since "ga" grammatically goes before a verb that expresses abilities/inabilities.

Hi, I faved this before I became skilled at Japanese. But now I am studying Japanese at university I can confidently say the it should be が and not を This is because when you change a verb into it's potential form it must take が as in が できる. Any chance you could update the stamp? I'd like to have it back on my wall :)

I think that if you say を, its like, the language is a subject, not a verb...

It's funny, I fav'd this a year or so ago, when I really begun to understand this stamp just last semester. しかたがない、ね。享年、日本語を分かっているに始まった。特に、漢字が分かっているに始まった。

Ehm, I feel kind of stupid for pointing this out but, shouldn't it be "hanasu" instead of "hanaseru"? o.O It confuses me a bit ^^

"Nihongo (w)o hanasu" is "I speak Japanese"

while

"Nihongo (w)o hanaseru" is "I can speak Japanese"

Small difference, but I had just learned how to say 'I can' do something, so...

Thanks, though. ^^

First you need a subscription to DeviantART. Don't know why... you just do. Then you put :thumb76058766: in a journal entry, usually in the footer. However, if you don't have a subscription, you can't use it, and a lot of people just enjoy favoriting stamps instead. ^^
